Use your five photos well
The request form accepts up to five JPG, PNG or WebP images, each up to 8 MB. Start with a wide view of the whole work area. Use a second angle to show items hidden behind the first row. Reserve another photo for the narrowest doorway, stair landing or gate.
For demolition, show where removal should stop and any adjoining finishes that stay. For concrete, include an already-exposed edge if one exists. For a cleanout across several rooms, use the written description to explain which rooms did not fit in the photos. Do not move heavy items or enter an unsafe area just for a picture.
Write the facts a photograph misses
Describe the material and approximate amount: the number of sofas, the rooms of flooring or the measured length and width of a slab. State whether material is attached, already broken or piled for loading. If a dimension or material is unknown, label it unknown.
Give the project address or ZIP, floor level, access restrictions and where the truck could park. Tell Sandlot what should stay. A photo cannot establish a wall’s structural role, a material’s hazardous contents or an appliance’s safe disconnection. Share any existing professional reports rather than making an assumption.
Give timing without assuming a reservation
A preferred date helps the team assess your request. If you are coordinating with a landlord, building manager or next contractor, include the handover deadline and the person who can approve the scope. Sandlot still needs to confirm availability before the request becomes an appointment.
Estimates are free. No payment or deposit is collected through the website. Material, amount, access and disposal affect the job; there is no published rate table to turn a few photos into an automatic final price.
Keep the photos about the job
Avoid photographing people, identity documents, mail or security codes. The form checks and re-encodes uploaded images to remove embedded metadata. The team needs to see the removal area, not your private records.
Before submitting, read back the service, location and description. The on-screen reference confirms that a request was saved. In the owner preview, it explicitly says Sandlot has not been notified; a saved preview request does not start a job.
