Separate the materials in the pile
Identify branches, brush, loose landscaping waste and anything mixed in. Mention soil, concrete, metal or bagged material separately rather than describing the whole load as green waste. Material and access both affect the estimate.
Photograph the entire pile with a familiar object nearby for scale. Add close-ups when large pieces or mixed materials are hidden behind the front layer. List separate piles around the property so none is missed in the scope.
Show the gate and carry route
Tell Sandlot whether the pile is in a front yard, side yard or behind a narrow gate. Note steps, loose ground, overhead obstructions and the distance to parking. The crew needs the real loading route, not just the street address.
Identify plants, irrigation and belongings that should remain protected. Do not move a heavy pile or disturb unknown materials solely to get a clearer photo. Explain uncertainty so the team can review it.
Distinguish debris hauling from new yard work
This request is for removing agreed debris. Do not assume tree cutting, stump removal or new landscaping is included. Check your collection provider’s current rules if considering municipal pickup, and keep paint, chemicals and other hazardous materials out of the load.
