Compare who does the loading
For a rental, ask the provider who loads the container and which materials and amounts its terms allow. Account for the labor needed to move material from inside the property, not just the space in the container.
Sandlot’s removal estimate can include lifting and loading from the agreed locations. Describe stairs, gates and carry distances so the work is assessed before you compare prices. Neither option has a universal cost advantage for every job.
Check space, materials and timing
Ask a rental provider about placement, access, weight or fill restrictions, prohibited materials and collection timing. Resolve any property or local placement requirements with the relevant authority or manager. Terms vary; do not assume a general comparison replaces the provider’s agreement.
For a crew, send photos of the current load and explain whether more debris will be created later. A finished pile and an ongoing remodel may need different visit plans. Keep hazardous materials out of an ordinary removal request.
Compare complete written scopes
Include loading labor, the accepted material, access, haul-off, cleanup and any extra visits in your comparison. Request the actual price from each provider rather than comparing a container advertisement with a full-service estimate.
If attached materials still need to come out, separate demolition from hauling in the request. Sandlot reviews the work before confirming a price and appointment. Same-day pickup availability does not establish availability for a larger demolition project.
