Count the pieces, not just the sofas
A sectional may have several separate seats, a chaise and a sleeper mechanism. Photograph the whole arrangement, then identify the pieces going and anything staying. Tell Sandlot if a sofa includes a pull-out bed or power components so the estimate reflects the actual item.
Include approximate length and depth and whether the item is on an upper floor. Do not dismantle heavy furniture or carry it downstairs just to request a price. The team needs to review the removal route first.
Show the tightest part of the route
Photograph doorways, stair turns and the path to parking as well as the sofa. Mention an elevator reservation or restricted loading hours. A clear room photo alone does not show whether a long sectional piece will turn through a hallway.
Keep personal belongings out of cushions and storage compartments. Clearly identify matching chairs or tables if they also need to go; they should be part of the agreed scope, not assumed extras.
Choose pickup or reuse
If the sofa is usable, compare a confirmed donation or resale arrangement with a paid removal estimate. Acceptance and timing depend on the receiving organization or buyer. Sandlot sorts usable items for donation or recycling where practical, but does not guarantee a donation destination.
