Plan your appliance & furniture removal.

Sandlot removes bulky furniture, mattresses and appliances with lifting, loading and care around access routes. Share the item type, dimensions and stairs so the team can assess the carry-out.

Photograph the item and the tightest turn

A photo of a sofa alone does not show whether it fits through a hallway. Include the doorway, stair landing or gate it must pass through, and measure the item if you can do so safely. Note whether furniture is unusually heavy or assembled inside the room.

List every item in the request, including a mattress, box spring or separate furniture section. Tell Sandlot what stays beside it. Do not dismantle heavy furniture or move an appliance to a risky position just to prepare a quote.

Confirm the appliance is ready for removal

Name the appliance and say whether it is still connected to water, gas or electricity. Arrange any necessary disconnection with an appropriate professional before collection; Sandlot’s published removal service does not establish a utility-disconnection service.

Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners require item-specific disposal planning. Describe them accurately and have Sandlot confirm acceptance and handling. Do not cut refrigerant lines or assume every city bulk program accepts every appliance.

Compare pickup options before moving it

For a qualifying curbside item, your city may offer bulk or appliance collection. Check its accepted items, preparation rules and scheduling first. Private removal can make sense when the item is still indoors, stairs are involved or it is part of a larger cleanout.

Sandlot confirms the price once the item and access are understood. Donation or recycling is considered where practical, but an item’s condition may rule it out. Do not plan around a guaranteed donation destination or an unconfirmed pickup date.

Is an appliance disconnection included?

Do not assume it is. Tell Sandlot whether the appliance is connected, then confirm what must be made safe by the appropriate professional before removal.

WHAT NEEDS
TO GO?

A sofa upstairs. A kitchen tear-out. A garage you’d like back.

Tell me what you’re working on, or ask a question. If I don’t know, I’ll point you to the owner.
