Plan your commercial cleanouts.

Sandlot clears offices, retail spaces, rental properties and job trailers. A useful commercial estimate identifies the contents, the person approving removal and the building’s access requirements.

Separate contents from the building

List loose furniture, equipment, shelving and stored materials separately from fixed cabinets, flooring or walls. Removing contents is a cleanout; taking out attached building materials may require a separate demolition scope. Tell Sandlot which work you need before arranging access.

For a rental turnover, identify what belongs to the owner and what is approved for removal. If responsibility for any property is unresolved, leave it out of the removal list until the authorized decision-maker settles it.

Coordinate loading and approval

Share loading-dock hours, elevator reservations, parking limits and any building paperwork the property manager requires. Confirm who can admit the crew and who can approve a scope change. Do not send security codes in public photos or general chat.

Give the team the move-out deadline and next contractor’s planned start, but wait for a confirmed appointment before relying on that date. Ask about current license and insurance documentation if the building requires it; a website description is not proof of either.

Prepare a usable inventory

Photograph each room from the doorway and show any large item from more than one side. Count desks, cabinets and appliances where possible. Mark equipment that must remain in service and keep the exit route clear.

Remove personal records and business data before disposal. Sandlot’s cleanout offering does not establish a certified data-destruction service. Identify chemicals, medical waste and other hazardous contents separately; they are outside the accepted scope.

Can a cleanout include walls or flooring?

Describe those items separately. Sandlot also offers interior demolition, but attached building materials need a reviewed scope rather than being assumed part of a contents cleanout.
