Identify what is loose and what remains attached
Photograph the debris and describe where it came from if known. Note timber, insulation, tile or other materials mixed into the pile. For sheets still on a wall or ceiling, ask for a demolition scope before expecting haul-off.
A photo cannot establish whether a building material is hazardous. Do not disturb unknown or suspect materials for identification. Sandlot does not haul asbestos or other hazardous waste; raise unresolved material questions before scheduling.
Explain the work area and access
Give the floor level, room location and route to the truck. Describe dust-sensitive occupied areas and finishes that need protection. Include stairs, elevator restrictions and parking or loading hours.
Tell Sandlot whether debris is spread across rooms or concentrated in one area. Photograph each location and clearly identify any unused materials you want to keep. The estimate should cover the actual collection and loading work.
Agree on the finish of the work area
Sandlot’s published service includes debris removal and sweeping the work area. That is not the same as specialist remediation, rebuilding, detailed dust removal throughout an occupied property or finishing new drywall. Explain what the next trade needs and confirm the exact scope before the crew starts.
