Plan your concrete removal.

Sandlot reviews patios, walkways, slabs and driveways for breaking, removal and haul-off. The dimensions, thickness where known and access matter more than a photo of the surface alone.

Define the concrete that comes out

Measure approximate length and width and show the boundary between concrete to remove and concrete to keep. If the thickness is already exposed, photograph it. If it is not known, say so; do not assume a standard thickness or dig into a slab to find out.

Tell Sandlot about known reinforcement, nearby walls, footings and any plan to reuse part of the slab. Removing a free-standing patio section and working next to a foundation require different assessment. The team confirms the scope before work begins.

Show access and known underground services

Include the narrowest gate, the route to the loading area, steps and overhead restrictions. Point out nearby landscaping and structures. Access can determine whether a small-looking job needs much more handling than an open driveway.

Share what you know about irrigation and buried services. Utility locating and any structural or permit decisions need to be resolved before disturbance. Never cut, break or probe concrete based only on a website guide or a photo estimate.

Separate removal from replacement

Clarify whether you need breaking and haul-off, or only loading of already-broken concrete. Include any brick, soil or mixed debris in the description. Ask what surface and cleanup will be left for the contractor doing the next stage.

The verified service is concrete removal, not new concrete installation, grading certification or structural engineering. Sandlot can price its agreed portion once the material and access are reviewed. Larger or uncertain slabs may need an in-person assessment.

Can you just haul concrete that is already broken?

Describe it as concrete debris haul-off, with photos and the approximate pile size. Sandlot can assess that separately from breaking an intact patio, walkway or driveway.
